# Restore a deleted record

> Brings a deleted record back. Returns 200 with an empty body. If the record's table is itself deleted, the request is refused with `table_also_deleted`: restore the table in the ROOTKey app first, then the record. With a personal access token it needs the `rootkey.delete` scope (a restore undoes a delete), an organization role that may restore records and an organization that lets agents write; a record of a RESTRICTED table is never restored by an agent. Agents can restore records but never delete one.

with more access than that user has in the ROOTKey app: the
organization's agent policy, the user's own role and teams, and the
        token's scopes (`rootkey.read`, `rootkey.write`, `rootkey.delete`) all
apply. A missing, malformed, unknown, revoked or expired token gets the

request with both gets `conflicting_credentials`. See
        [Authentication](/api-reference/auth).
